Challenge 13

Challenge 13: Goals, stepping stones to life’s journey

Goals are important.  They must be attainable, realistic, and timely. They help you accomplish tasks in everyday life and help to prepare you for the future.

I, for one, have many goals for my life:

– sometimes I just want to get through the day, the week, and get to the weekend (everyone has those days, weeks, months, heck some of us just have a bad year).

– Graduate College.  This is an aspect of my family’s life that is very important… almost something that you are expected to do. It also is the gate opener to the career that I am so excited and privileged to be working towards (being an elementary school teacher!) 🙂

– Find a man that will love me, care for me, worry about me, listen to me, and not let me get away with my orneriness 🙂 I dream of being respected and loved for the person that I am and not for the person somebody hopes they can change me into.

– Raise a wonderful family with good values, respect, and love for those in their lives.

– To let young children that I teach know that they are loved, they are wanted, and that they can make a difference no matter what their background or socioeconomic status, they just need to have hope and work hard.

Challenge 7: Favorite movies

I have a few favorites at the top of my list!

Top 3 favorites are: The Bourne Trilogy (I lump them into 1 because they are all equally amazing), The Wedding Date ( Yes I can be a girly-girl on occasion), and Taken (which is by far one of the best movies ever!!!)

I love a good action movie that keeps me guessing and on the edge of my seat!  I grew up watching movies like this with my dad and have had a place in my heart for them ever since.

As for romantic comedies, The Wedding Date will forever be my favorite one 🙂  It’s sweet, funny, witty, and keeps us women that are little girls at heart swooning over the hot guy that ends up with our favorite girl in the end.

Challenge 8:  A place I’ve traveled to

CHICAGO!

This is the most beautiful city I have ever been to…. Traveled here with my DECA chapter (which was the 2nd time that I had traveled here) and was an experience I will never forget.  I often think about going there again because every time I go I get to see something new and it makes me fall in love with this city even more: the art, the architecture, the crisp afternoon breeze, amazing shopping, and I could go on and on about this place.

This picture was taken as we took a tour of the city on a boat 🙂

Chicago, truly an experience I will never forget.

Challenge 3:  First Love

I’d have to say my first love in life would be music 🙂 Music is the kind of man you only wish you had haha… Music is there for you when you are sad, to lift you up and make you feel better; music is there when you want to just relax and enjoy the little moments in life; music is there when laugh after you have been scared so bad you nearly pee during a movie, but most importantly music is there to enhance the person that you are.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, music has been a huge part of my life.  Playing the fiddle has opened many doors for me in my life.  Doors to new friends, experiences, trials, jobs, and has given me more than I could ever have imagined in terms of life-fulfillment.

So yes, music, was my first love… I have been hurt many times throughout my life, but music has always been there to help me pick up the broken pieces of my puzzle and move on with a smile on my face. 🙂
